Bearing temperature monitoring

BEARING TEMPERATURE MONITORING – DAMAGE DETECTION AT AN EARLY STAGE

60% of the early malfunctioning bearings is caused by material fatigue as a consequence of continuous fluctuating pressures on the bearing its surface and the use of incorrect lubricants. Bearing monitoring sensors are able to detect damages in an early stage and prevent downtime and potential dust explosions.

BEARING TEMPERATURE MONITORING FOR BLOCK BEARINGS, FLANGE BEARINGS,
MOTORS AND PUMPS.

Muller Beltex offers various sensors for bearing temperature monitoring, whether in accordance with ATEX. There are variants of our own design with variable adjustment options available.
But also think of Screw-in resistance thermo sensors with connection head, cable sensors, mineral insulated sensors and high temperature sensors. Involve us at an early stage to find the right solution for your specific application. Avoid unwanted failure or dust or gas explosions.

BEARING TEMPERATURE MONITORING, TYPE PT100V3C WITH GREASE NIPPLE

lager temperatuur sensor bearing temperature sensor
The Adjustable PT100 Bearing Temperature sensors with grease nipple, type PT100V3C  has the feature that is adjustable in terms of the probe depth approach. The meeting will be conducted in this way not superficial, but on bearing ring itself. In practice, differences of about 20% to 40% to act against surface temperature measurements. This can quickly intervene at a temperature increase.
The PT100 emits a permanent standby signal. If such a signal is absent, the reason for this must be investigated and, if so required, the PT100 sensor must be replaced. As long as the PT100 emits a standby signal, it will also emit an emergency contact signal due by its temperature rising, as soon something will cause friction, which may cause damage to the machine, and may generate heat, fire,The sensors analog signal can be connecting direct to a PLC or for increased security to an independent monitoring system such as the GSI48 indicator, also this analog signal can been converted by an transmitter to an digital, profibus  signal.
Technical information:
PT100 sensor: 4-core cable with a length of 3 meters. Probe (PT100) length 100mm, made of stainless steel. The probe has a diameter of 5mm and the brass house (adapter) has a G1/8 thread wich are used for for all kind of bearing houses. Body is made of brass to prevent corrosion. Monel is a nickel copper alloy, which is more resistant to atmospheric conditions, in relation to stainless steel. The measurement is performed on the bearing ring, creating an accurate measurement. Maintenance (oil chart) match temperature measurements.

BEARING TEMPERATURE MONITORING, TYPE SKF PT100K3DN WITH GREASE NIPPLE

PT100 SKF Website
The Adjustable PT100 SKF Bearing Temperature sensors with grease nipple, type SKF PT100K3DN has the feature that is adjustable in terms of the probe depth approach. This temperature sensor is specially developed for SKF bearings.
Technical information:
Pt100 sensor: 4-core cable with a length of 3 meters. Probe (PT100) length 60mm, made of stainless steel. The probe has a diameter of 3mm and the brass house (adapter) has a M6 thread which are used for agriculture SKF bearings. Body is made of brass to prevent corrosion. Monel is a nickel copper alloy, which is more resistant to atmospheric conditions, in relation to stainless steel. The measurement is performed on the bearing ring, creating an accurate measurement. This is currently the smallest PT100 sensor on the market. The Maintenance (oil chart) match temperature measurements.

OVERVIEW ATEX PROCESS MONITORING SYSTEMS

Our stockholding strategy and top-quality product range allows us to always offer the right solution for your installation, anywhere in the world. Together with an comprehensive problem analysis and the right measures and design. Flexible & fast. Largely the result of our customers’ needs we have continuously been optimising our product range.

  • With a 30 till 40% share of all company dust explosions, it’s easy to say that a bucket elevator is a dangerous installation with a real explosion risk. This can easily be prevented and damage can be limited with our range of belt misalignment systems for vertical and horizontal transportation at conveyor belts.

  • 60% of the early malfunctioning bearings is caused by material fatigue as a consequence of continuous fluctuating pressures on the bearing its surface and the use of incorrect lubricants. Bearing monitoring sensors are able to detect damages in an early stage and prevent downtime and potential dust explosions.

    Bearing temperature monitoring
  • To detect belt slip in an early stage we offer several speed monitoring switches to make sure you are informed in time when the belt slips. They also safeguard applications from overspeed or underspeed.

    Speed monitoring
  • For a various range of process monitoring sensors Muller Beltex offers you the opportunity to select the correct controllers (ATEX), indicators and transmitters.

    Controllers, indicators & transmitters
  • Radar and level instruments are generally used for cost efficient visualised level measurement of bulk goods. It supplies a continuous flow of reliable measuring data about the levels of the bulk goods in silo’s and small containers.

  • Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, is collecting, forwarding, processing and the visualisation of monitoring signals of a various range of machines in huge industrial systems. We offer various solutions.

    Data acquisition & SCADA systems
  • Explosion pressure relief is the most natural version of constructive explosion protection. The over-pressure is deflated directly to prevent the protected amount of volume by damage of the pressure wave.
